Programs
Life of a Prisoner's Child Program
Children whose parents are incarcerated in Uganda are often neglected, stigmatized, and face poverty, lack of education, and psychological trauma. The Life of a Prisoner’s Child Program seeks to provide holistic support to these children through educational assistance, psychosocial counseling, caregiver empowerment, and community sensitization.
TAL Education Program
Our Education program designed as holistic, child-centered initiative aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty, abuse, gender discrimination and overcoming barriers to learning. The program integrates formal schooling with psychosocial support, after-school tutoring, nutrition, and life skill-building for both children and caregivers to foster resilience.
TAL Children Rights program
Children’s rights violations in Uganda are widespread, with research indicating that 59% of girls and 68% of boys experience physical violence, while 35% of girls and 17% of boys experience sexual violence. Our program works towards promoting child participation and partner with government agencies to enforce rights within our reach.
TAL Health Program
Our Health Program is aimed at enhancing wellness through grassroots participation, bridging gaps between formal health systems and vulnerable categories of people by focusing on preventive care, health education, and immediate, accessible, and culturally tailored health services.
The Youth Economic Empowerment Program
Economic empowerment among Uganda's youth (aged 18-35) is low, with over 75% engaged in vulnerable, underproductive work. It is estimated that over 50% of youth in Uganda are not in employment, education, or training, and youth unemployment is high.
